Our Healthy Backs Theory presentation is a well-renowned training package that is highly engaging and focuses on providing a deeper understanding of why safe manual handling is important and how these practices keep us safe. By discussing not only the do’s and don’ts of manual handling but also delving into the mechanics of our anatomy and why certain positions and postures keep us safe, this holistic understanding leads to a higher compliance rate and fewer manual handling injuries.
2. Practical Demonstration & Assessment:
The practical demonstration and assessment are crucial to our training. By reinforcing the theory presentation with a practical demonstration of specific lifts and transfers, staff are assessed on their knowledge of manual handling theory and competency in carrying out manual handling tasks.
Falls Prevention Training
Jasda Care has developed an industry-leading falls prevention program designed to target and upskill staff, as well as to educate residents and families on the importance of falls prevention methods and strategies.
