Private Therapy
Private therapy is available for residents in RAC & ILU facilities. Our programs make it easy to take advantage of government subsidies and provide a cost-effective product.
In addition to our comprehensive therapy packages offered within the facility, we also provide private therapy sessions tailored to the individual needs of our valued residents. These additional sessions serve to optimise mobility, enhance independence, promote active living, and alleviate discomfort. Our private therapy services encompass a range of treatments aimed at addressing various physical and cognitive aspects that influence the health and wellbeing of older adults. Government subsidies are available to assist with private therapy sessions under the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan and Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) referral.
Private Physiotherapy Sessions
Within our private physiotherapy sessions, residents benefit from hands-on treatments such as massage and stretching, as well as electrotherapy techniques like TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) therapy. Our skilled therapists also offer postural training and correction, along with personalised home exercise plans aimed at improving strength, balance, and mobility. Additionally, we provide guidance on ergonomic principles, offer advice on mobility equipment selection, and administer temperature therapy through ice and heat packs, all aimed at enhancing residents’ overall comfort and functionality.
Private Occupational Therapy Sessions
In our private occupational therapy sessions, we conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate various factors affecting residents’ health and wellbeing, including physical, cognitive, affective, social, and environmental aspects. Based on these assessments, personalised treatment plans are developed to address functional limitations and promote independence in daily activities. Therapeutic interventions focus on improving movement, balance, coordination, and motor skills, while also providing guidance on safe mobilization with assistive devices. Furthermore, our occupational therapists offer recommendations for home modifications and adaptations to ensure a safe and accessible living environment for older adults, along with ergonomic advice and education to support residents’ overall well-being and quality of life.
